New Summer Southside Worship Location and Times!
Beginning Sunday, June 28 and continuing throughout the summer, our Southside Sunday worship services will be held at our new church building (2520 Holland Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23453).
To accomodate the size of the church, 2 services will be held each Sunday:
10:00am Service - West Region (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk) & Campus Ministry
6:00pm Service - Virginia Beach Region & Teen Ministry
The Peninsula Region will continue to meet at their customary time and location.
Come join us at either Southside service and be changed by God's Word!
Outdoor Worship At The New Southside Building
This week was historic for the Hampton Roads Church. The southside sectors were able to meet in our new fully functional church building for the first time. The building is small for us, but just big enough to serve for midweeks and special events. Look for exciting things to come in this building!

"It's Better To Give Than To Receive" - 2009 Special Missions Contribution
Each year we take up a voluntary collection to support missions work for our sister churches in India.
Every person in the church gets involved in sacrificing to meet their personal giving goal. It's amazing to see how God multiplies our wealth and abundance here in the U.S. and uses it to save souls.
This year our goal is 15x our regular weekly contribution or tithe ($238,500). 10x will go to India, 4x will go toward our building fund, and 1x toward our regular operation budget.
The collection is taken up in 3 main installments: Feb. 4th, April 15th, & June 3rd.
Please pray for this collection and check back to see how we're doing with our goal!

An Easter Baptism
We were in Williamsburg for Easter weekend and we meet with the Peninsula region for Sunday service. What a blessing to be witness to an Easter Baptism! Congratulations to out new sister, Tiffany!
Mercy's Baptism
We have a new sister added to the Book of Life! Mercy Huff was baptized Tuesday night at the Rondorf's home. And what an amazing new sister we have!
Mercy's Baptism from Marva Harrell on Vimeo.
I remember the first time I met Mercy: She and her family just moved in across the street and had a little boy. She had just accedientaly cut her elbow in the bedroom, but all her first aid stuff was still packed away. So I ran back home, grabbed some bandaids and wipes, and rushed back to clean her elbow and patch it up. Only AFTER I put the bandaid on did I think to ask her name; Mercy. "How ironic," I thought.
Well, as the weeks went on, we got to know Mercy and her family VERY well. She would come over to Bible Talks and make the most amazing lasagna I've ever had. Before she even began studying the Bible, she would bring visitors; her daughter, daughter's boyfriend, and EVEN daughter's boyfriends' mother.
As we got to know her more and more, it was obvious that she has a huge heart for others. When my medical condition got worse, she made me dinner and brought it over. When my wife was sick, she brough soup and juice. And no matter what is going on in her life, she ALWAYS has a smile and warm hug.
I am very blessed to know her and to witness her baptism.
