Scripture: “The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings, Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss” (1 Corinthians 16:19-20).

1) Sing a song.

2) Pray for what you’re going to teach them and that they will understand the lesson.

3) Ice Breaker: Daddy and Mommy stay in room while the child/children leave the room.
- Have the child/children enter the room and say hello to you.
- You respond by making faces and turn away or play video games and ignore them.

4) Ask the child/children:
- How did you feel when you came in the room?
- How do you feel when someone ignores you and is too busy to talk to you?

5) Role play again, have the child/children leave the room.
- Have the child/children enter the room and say hello to you.
- You respond with enthusiasm and affection. Hug them, high five them, offer them a
   drink or food, etc.

6) Ask the child/children:
- How did you feel when you came in the room this time?
- Did you feel when you got a hug and/or a high five?

7) Role play again, prepping children with scenes of different guest that might come over
for b-talking, visiting, house church, etc.

8) Make sure you help them with specifics like greeting guests at the door, how to
prepare snacks & drinks before guests arrive, cleaning the house for company, etc.

9) Explain to the children that it is important to make your friends/guests feel appreciated
by giving them our heartfelt attention and hospitality.

10) Pray again and have a great evening together.

11) Don’t forget to reflect back to the family night throughout the week when there’s a
challenge or when you’re having a fun time together.
