Hampton Roads Church

These 6 recent teen ministry grads have been hired, for part of the summer, by the Dayton, Ohio Church to help them with their teen ministry.  While there they will head up and preach at their devotions, they will organize d-groups, and being involved in character and guard the gospel studies.  They will also be working on a big reach out event.  Please keep these young servants in your prayers.

This past April we had a 4 Week Class Series on Parenting put together by our elders.  We also had sharing by some of the elders' children (now grown up of course).  All the lessons and the sharings are posted under the Teen Ministry Lessons section.

The day after our teen prom the teens led the entire worship service.  The ushering, singing, welcome, communion, and preaching was done entirely by teen disciples.   We are very thankful that God is using the teen ministry to continually encourage the church.   As a side note in April we were able to see 3 teens become disciples which makes 12 teen baptisms so far this school year!!! We are very excited to have 6 summer interns serve in the teen ministry.   There primary focus will be on evangelism and to disciple some or our rising juniors and seniors.   In addition to this they will also be working on various Service Projects.   Two of the projects they will be working on are the following:

           -Creating a Bridge Ministry (transitioning seniors into the campus ministry)

           -Creating a Quiet Times Series written by teen ministry alumni
